Linda Bouchard, M.D.

Born and raised in Washington State. After completing High School joined the Franciscan Sisters in Redwood City, CA. Remains active with the group until the present, currently serving on their administrative board.

Attended Mt. St. Mary’s College in Los Angeles area, graduating with honors with a BSN. Worked as a registered nurse at a private hospital for a few years. Following this, was sent to work in Guaymas, Sonora, Mexico. Together with the Franciscan Friars, help establish a clinic for the poor. Trained local women to provide basic medical care. Also assisted in attending some home deliveries.

To provide a better service, attended the Frontier Nursing service school in Kentucky, graduating as a Nurse Practitioner and a Nurse Midwife. Continued to work in Mexico until the service was completed. Then worked at women’s Hospital in Los Angeles as a midwife. A private physician in the area solicited assistance in setting up an out of hospital birthing center. This was done and many inner city women were served at the clinic and birthing center. This rekindled a desire to complete studies for a medical degree.

Received her medical degree from UCSF. This was followed by a 3 year residency in Family Practice at Natividad Hospital in Salinas: followed by an additional 3 years residency in OB-GYN at Santa Clara Valley Medical Center in San Jose. Came to Manteca in 1991, initially working with Dr. Lin, then in her own practice until 2008 when she joined Gill OB-GYN.

Has a passion for Women’s Health. Strives to partner with her patient’s as she provides medical care to women in all stages of their life. Every patient is important and no concern is too small.
